Central Saanich BC has its own police force and Fire Department. Garbage collection is done on a private basis.

One of the most fascinating points of interest is the beautiful views of the Saanich Inlet to the west, and the Haro Strait to the east. If you enjoy the outdoor activities; John Dean Provincial Park is to the north and the Gowlland Tod Provincial Park is just southwest. These will provide excellent choices when it comes to walking your dog, jogging, hiking, picnics, or simply enjoying the outdoors.
